The West Gippsland Regional Library Corporation provides library services to three councils. A population of 97000 reside in the three Municipalities of Bass Coast, Baw Baw and South Gippsland. During summer an additional 40,000 holiday makers make West Gippsland their home. Twelve branches, including one joint-use library at Neerim District Secondary College, a Shire Customer Service Centre/Library at Inverloch; two semi - trailer type mobile libraries and an active website, ensure the residents living in the 8,194sq kilometres of the region enjoy access to a dynamic library service. The mobile libraries provide library access to 9 sites in Baw Baw Shire, 5 sites in Bass Coast Shire and 6 South Gippsland sites on a fortnightly timetable. The West Gippsland Regional Library provides 347.6 hours of public access per week across the Region from its physical facilities. The Library has 33,342 active members.
