The Society has a museum where they display the material in exhibitions based on themes. The South Gippsland Genealogical Society share the venue, where they house a large collection of family history data from the South Gippsland region. The Society puts out a journal/newsletter four times a year. Each edition has two feature articles and general news. They also have over 10 publications available. The Society meets on the third Thursday of each month with a guest speaker at most meetings. The Society also runs special excursions and exhibitions to work in with local, state and national events, eg Commonwealth Games.
