Eureka Centre

The Eureka Centre is located on the historic site of the Eureka Rebellion in Ballarat, a 1.5-hour drive west of Melbourne.
The Eureka Centre is dedicated to telling the story of Eureka and its enduring link to the identity of Ballarat. The iconic Eureka Flag is the centrepiece of interactive and engaging exhibits exploring the history and impact of the events on this site in 1854.
Formerly known as the Museum of Australian Democracy at Eureka, the site is being re-imagined for the community and is open for visitors to view the Eureka Flag and engage with the exhibitions.
The Eureka Centre has interactive exhibits, two formal education spaces, a purpose-built gallery for the Eureka Flag, a theatre that seats up to 120, a café offering snacks and lunches, a gift shop, all located within the beautiful Eureka Stockade Memorial Gardens.
