The Essendon Hall of Fame tells the story of the Essendon Football Club from 1873 to the present day using a large collection of artefacts, images, video and audio. The Hall of Fame is situated at the club’s long-time training and administration headquarters, Windy Hill, about 10 km from the Melbourne CBD. The Hall of Fame is open to the public Monday to Saturday and tours of the club are available.

A collection of over 10,000 objects relating to the history of the Essendon Football Club from 1873 to the present day.

The largest collection of objects relating to the club dating from 1873 to the present. Essendon is thought to have formed in 1872, played its first recorded game in 1873, was a founding member of the VFL (now AFL) in October 1896 and won the inaugural VFL premiership in 1897. The club has won 4 VFA premierships and 16 VFL/AFL premierships. No AFL club has won more. The club is know for its large supporter base, financial stability, on-field success and work in the community particularly with the indigenous community.
