Magpies by Arrernte artist Judith Pungarta Inkamala is a stunning hand-built terracotta with underglaze and is one of two works acquired from the renowned Hermannsburg Potters.

Maroondah City Council Art Collection has a small but growing collection of ceramics by a number of significant Australian potters including Harold Hughan, Pamela Irving, Deborah Halpern and Hermannsburg Potters Judith Pungarta Inkamala and Clara Ngala Inkamala. Several distinctive genres in studio ceramics production are represented including wheel-thrown utilitarian ware, hand-built forms and mosaic and ceramic shard sculptures.
