Bundoora Homestead Art Centre

Overlooking the grand central staircase of Bundoora Homestead is a stained glass oval skylight by Auguste Fischer, a renowned glass artist of the late 19th century.

Bundoora Homestead Art Centre is a resplendent example of English Queen Anne style architecture certified by the National Trust and registered by Heritage Victoria. Built in 1899, the Homestead boasts some impressive examples of classic arts and crafts including: a comprehensive scheme of stained and painted glass designed by Fischer, heavily modelled plaster ceilings with foliated imagery derived from English aesthetic movement precedents of the 1880s, an elaborate scheme of highly decorative pyrographic panels ornamented throughout with a dozen different motifs as well as a superior display of anaglypta papers.
