Upper Yarra Museum

Warburton Highway (Route 175) YARRA JUNCTION Visit Website

Upper Yarra Museum situated in the historic Yarra Junction Railway Station.

The Yarra Junction Railway station was built in 1888 and moved from Lilydale to its present site, circa 1915. The station buildings have recently (2012-13) been significantly repaired, restored and refurbished.

The Upper Yarra Museum (opened in 1972) is managed by the Upper Yarra Valley Historical Society (founded in 1965).The two-day Crank-up, featuring competition wood chop, is the major fund-raising event for UYVHS and is held annually in April.
