About the organisation
The Museum is dedicated to acquiring, documenting, preserving and interpreting, objects and stories which illustrate the historical context for and significant developments in the practice of anaesthesia, pain medicine and intensive care medicine in Australia and New Zealand. The key collecting and interpretation focus is anaesthetic apparatus and associated material from the early beginnings to the present, which clearly illustrate significant developments and achievements in the practice of anaesthesia.
